22 Cochise Grenache
100% Grenache
Grenache, the most widely planted winegrape in the world, can be found on several continents and likely originated in the region of Aragon in northeast Spain on the border of France. While the majority of the wines produced in the world highlight ripe fruit and richer palates, our Arizona versions stand out for their poise and balance. Many have compared our State’s versions to Pinot Noir, which is apropos. This soft, perfumy, red fruit driven wine is intense without being hot or tannic. Wild strawberry, red raspberry, orange rind, white flower blossom and light hints of spice. Wines do not have to be dark to be good and this Cochise County expression is a case in point.
