100% Syrah

The lean granitic soils of Colibri Vineyards in the Chiricahua Mountains of southeastern Arizona produce some of the most distinctive and interesting Syrah we make. Clones 174 and 474 are grown adjacent to one another on the upper slopes of Colibri – and while the soils and ecological conditions are nearly identical, these genetic differences create noticeable differences in these wines. This year the 474 was a favorite and had to be bottled as is. Marked with cherry vanilla, white and black pepper, and a granite-esque minerality, this wine is everything we have come to expect from Colibri.
