19 Colibri Mourvedre Pick 3
We are fortunate that the Mourvedre crop from Colibri comes in every year. Being the latest variety, it flowers two-to-three weeks later than the Grenache and Syrah planted at the site. In years where we see frosts late in April or even in early May, we can lose the majority of the other varieties – but not Mourvedre. Harvested a little later and slightly riper than other Mourvedre picks in 2019, this bottling highlights the richer, darker fruit profile of black raspberry, plum, and mulberries with lighter spice but just as much earthiness.
