52% Syrah, 25% Mourvedre, 17% Petite Sirah, 6% Grenache

OK OK…So we got a little sick of acronyms and moving those little letters around all the time… We made this awesome wine that was to fill the niche that SGMp, GSMc, MSGp, etc., etc. has filled for years and we just couldn’t do it. We waited. We waited for it to name itself but it just didn’t come. It didn’t happen. We were tempted to call it Sue (figured it would make the wine last longer…) or maybe Bob (Bitchin’ ol’ Blend!). Many wonderful things have come from anonymity. It suggests humility; it implies bashfulness and quiet confidence. So here you have it: One beautiful Rhone-style blend dominated by Syrah, followed up by Mourvedre with Petite and Grenache pulling up the rear. It’s a classic!
