100% Pinot Noir

The first Arizona Pinot Noir we bottled was in 2010 from Stronghold’s Bonita Springs Vineyard in Graham County.  This wine also came from Bonita and was crafted using traditional Burgundian methods: first it was destemmed, then it was then fermented in small open-top fermentors and was punched down 2-4x daily during its early life.  Soon thereafter it was pumped off the skins, settled and was then aged in neutral oak barrels for 10 months.  This classic, minimalist approach to Pinot gave us a classic, supple, earthy, red-black cherry and brambly wine that is unmistakably Pinot.
